The last long weekend of the summer is here.  I hope you have fun plans, maybe you are planning a backyard bash, heading to the beach, or enjoying a relaxing alfresco dining night with loved ones.  I hope to do all of the above :)  While I'm going to miss the warm weather and long sunny days, I'm so excited to welcome fall and all it has to offer!  My fall favorites are always the cozy sweaters, warm soups, and especially the beautiful changing landscape!  Are you happy or feeling a little sad that summer has come to an end?

DIY Inspiration ~

  I've had an old buffet in my garage begging me to paint it all summer, however my sunny days off have lead me to the pool instead.  With the cooler weather around the corner I'm planning on a weekend painting project to finally get it done, now what color to go with?  I'm leaning toward a deep peacock color with gold hardware.  What are your favorite color options to make a statement and add that pop of color?

I recently went to an outdoor concert and was in awe of the amazing sky!

 I love visiting with my family on my Meme's beautiful farm,

 it's instant comfort for me and one of my summer favs!

 Spending time with my favorite peeps, my sweet nephew and niece,

  who are so much fun to hang out with!  They always make my day!

 My sweet neighbor stopped by the other day to bring me tomatoes from his garden, it made my day!  My little garden is hurting this year, I have a tiny cucumber and a small green tomato that I hope make it! (I think I have uninvited critters)  The above cucumbers are from my Meme's garden and the rest is from a local vegetable stand, all this healthy goodness has me craving and excited to try new veggie recipes....
