It has finally warmed up here, even if only for a few days, I'll take it :)

Weekend R&R~

Well back to the daily grind, Monday you're here already!!  How was your weekend, do anything fun?!  I hope it was a good one!  
I had a pretty relaxed weekend, I did a little cooking, family visiting, shopping and had not so fun~car trouble.  After a whole morning of car jumping and AAA waiting, Thankfully my car just needed a new battery.

                 I was happy to catch up on some of my favorite mags!

In my quest to make more healthy meals at home, I made a large pot of veggie soup, I can enjoy all week and also some yummy spicy turkey stuffed peppers.  So good & easy, try this similar recipe here!

  I'm loving the bright yellow flowers I purchased at Trader Joe's,  I placed them around my house, it helps me deal with the cold winter outside.  & nothing like pretty flowers to greet you!

I had a nice visit with my 92 year old Meme, she's amazing, she had 12 kids~ that alone is Amazing!  She still works in her garden in the summer, knits quilts in the winter and is a true artist.  I adore the picture she painted me, I have it hanging above my dresser, to enjoy daily!

This arctic weather is torture for me!  I would so much rather snow then the brutal low temperatures we are having, do you agree!?  I'm thankful to have a warm getaway right around the corner to look forward to and keep me sane.  It's really all I can think about... now what to pack?  Some items I'm planning and coveting!

Shop Talk~ "Hudson Grace"

 In the latest issue of Lonny magazine, I fell head over heels for, Hudson Grace boutique!  The aesthetic is perfection, classic clean lines and an organic feel that is so refreshing.

 My dream, passion, and one of my life's big goal is to own my own boutique!  So when I find amazing shops like, Hudson Grace that executes it all so well, my entrepreneurial spirit is truly inspired!  I can relate to the style and earthy feel the shop expresses.  The boutique owners, Monelle Totah and Gary McNatton have the right balance, Totah says it perfectly,

"We've combined our two very different styles", "Gary has a modern, masculine American aesthetic, whereas mine is softer, feminine and European." 

The established owners have impressive resumes with prior work history from Williams-Sonoma, Restoration Hardware, and Banana Republic, I mean hello! After hearing the HG creators credentials, you know it is a, win-win! Love!

  I look forward to one day visiting, Hudson Grace on my next trip to San Francisco!

Fireplace Love~

With the super cold temps expected in this week's New England forecast, I can't help but dream of a warm, crackling fire to cozy up to!  If I only had my fireplace/chimney cleaned, I would be enjoying this magical feel in my home!

Belle Ski Resorts~

Let me say, I'm so not a winter girl, but something amazing happens when you feel the crisp cool air and the warmth of the sun while moving on the natural snow, it is magical!  I recently went cross country skiing and that true winter feeling has hit me. While it's been a mild winter here in New England so far, with only a few snow falls, it's surely not over.  The low temps have arrived, and I find myself dreaming of a amazing ski lodge getaway!
